Normally I’m cool to indifferent on the idea of a lifetime achievement Oscar, but Morricone getting one for Hateful Eight at age 87 after hundreds of scores... I absolutely support that.

Yeah, I figured that his first real Oscar in 6 tries probably had a bit of a “make-up” to it (not discounting his score, although I haven’t heard it - I’m sure it’s good), and it’s not like they were cheating John Williams out of his 6th statue there :P

Ecstacy of gold gets me every time. The whole man with no name series wouldn’t have been half of what it was without his music. (not to mention every other movie he did) Well, time to throw in the old Clint Eastwood DVDs.
